How one conversation could change the trajectory of your business

One of the things I enjoy most is giving agents a fresh perspective on their business and helping them see opportunities they may not have recognized on their own. Which is exactly what a strategy session is designed to do.

It's not a sales pitch, a performance review, or a meeting where someone tells you everything you're doing wrong. Instead, it's dedicated time to step away from the day-to-day demands of real estate and have a thoughtful conversation about the overall health of your business.

Every strategy session is a little different because every agent's business and goals are different.

Generally though, your strategy session will focus in on

  • what you want to accomplish in real estate

  • the overall health of your business

  • your marketing efforts

  • the systems and technology you’re leveraging

  • the customer experience you’re providing

  • your lead generation

  • your overall strengths and what’s working

  • where your opportunities for improvement are

Because it may shock you to find that just a few small adjustments could make your business more efficient overall, help you better serve your clients, and help your career.

Which is why I encourage every agent to schedule a strategy session at least once or twice a year.

When you're in the middle of running your business every day, it's easy to become so focused on serving clients that you rarely have the opportunity to step back and evaluate how your business is actually operating. You know it better than anyone, but you're also the closest to it. Sometimes that makes it difficult to recognize inefficiencies, identify blind spots, or see opportunities that could help you grow.

Having another perspective gives you the chance to think through your business with someone who can ask different questions, challenge your thinking, and help you see possibilities you may not have considered on your own.

What I find most interesting is that the biggest breakthroughs rarely come from making dramatic changes. More often, they come from refining the business you already have with a small improvement to your follow-up process, a clearer marketing strategy, or a better use of technology.

You should walk away from a strategy session with greater clarity about where you’re headed, confidence in what's already working, and a personalized plan for what deserves your attention next.

So if it's been a while since you've taken a step back to evaluate the health of your business, I'd encourage you to schedule a one-on-one strategy session with your broker, manager, or team leader.

Or, if you don’t have anyone you can leverage for a strategy session, I’m here for you.

Sometimes one conversation really can change the trajectory of your business, and I'd love the opportunity to help you create a plan for the months ahead.
