Make More of What Comes Naturally: Creating a signature Reel series that attracts more of the real estate work you love.
Think about a transaction you'd love to repeat in 2027. Maybe you enjoyed helping a seller decide which updates were worth making, guiding a buyer through competing options, or finding the right way to showcase a home full of character. What made that experience satisfying can tell you something useful about the business you want to grow and the marketing that could help you attract it.
As you plan for next year, give your marketing a specific job: help you become known for the work you'd like to do more of. A signature Reel series is one way to make that happen. Each episode gives future customers a small preview of your perspective, so they begin to associate you with the guidance or expertise they're looking for.
LET THE BUSINESS YOU WANT SHAPE THE SERIES
If you enjoy helping sellers prepare their homes, create a Before You List series. In each Reel, walk through a decision sellers often face, such as repainting a bold room, replacing worn carpet, or updating dated light fixtures. Explain what you'd consider before recommending they spend the money, including the home's condition, competing listings, and likely buyer expectations. You're giving future sellers a preview of your judgment and a reason to call you before they start making changes.
If you love helping buyers compare their options, try Same Budget, Different Possibilities. Show what a similar budget could offer in two parts of town, using neighborhood footage to explore differences in typical home styles, lot sizes, nearby amenities, and commute routes. Walk viewers through the questions you’d ask to help them decide which area fits their priorities. Your series gives buyers a preview of how you guide a search and creates more opportunities for the local expertise and conversations you enjoy.
If distinctive homes are what you most enjoy marketing, film The Detail I'd Save. Open on an original front door, built-in cabinetry, or a restored window and explain what you appreciate about it, then show how you'd feature it in the home's marketing. A seller with a character-filled property gets to see the care you'd bring to presenting it, while buyers who share your appreciation have a reason to follow along.
CHOOSE A SUBJECT YOU CAN KEEP COMING BACK TO
Write down one kind of business you want more of next year, one part of that work you enjoy, and three questions those customers tend to ask. Look for an idea that connects all three.
If you want more listings and enjoy advising sellers on preparation, their questions about improvements can become the starting point for your series.
Give each episode a repeatable shape: show something specific, explain how you'd think about it, and invite a response.
For a Before You List episode, show the dated fixture, explain when replacing it might be worthwhile, and invite viewers to share an update they're considering. That structure makes the series easier to create while giving each video a useful takeaway.
MAKE THREE EPISODES BEFORE YOU PLAN THIRTY
Choose three topics and film a small pilot this October. Your seller preparation series could cover paint, lighting, and flooring, with each episode answering a different question. Use a consistent opening line or visual cue to help people recognize the series, then give them a natural next step, such as messaging you before they begin preparing their home for sale.
Once you've shared the pilot, look at the conversations it creates as well as the view counts. Are people asking about the service you want to grow? Are sellers bringing you preparation questions, or buyers asking you to compare options? Also notice which episodes you enjoyed making and where your advice felt most useful. Those signals can help you decide what deserves a place in your 2027 marketing plan.
Bring your series idea and the business goal behind it to our team or a Marketing Suite training. We can help you connect the videos to supporting emails and social content, so the same perspective shows up across your marketing.
TRY THIS IN OCTOBER:
Finish the sentence, ‘In 2027, I want more opportunities to help customers with…’ Use your answer to choose a series and outline the first three episodes. You'll have a concrete marketing idea that supports the business you're excited to build.
